Bike route description
This bike tour is based in the beautiful and historic town of Girona (Catalonia). Giving bike riders a chance to explore the area and improve their fitness and technique.
Girona has been and remains the base for many pro bike riders and teams. The Pros come for the large quantity of high quality roads found in the area, the challenging gradient of many of the hills and a climate perfect for year round riding, all making the Girona region perfect for training camps for riders of all levels.
This format gives more down time in the afternoons and evenings for rest and relaxation in a city famous for its gastronomy and culture.

Option 1: Banyoles ride 89 Km (Rocacorba 991m)
We start north direction to Banyoles, from there we have a challenging option, the ascent of Rocacorba (990m+). One of the most famous “cols” of the region. After climb and descent again to the lake Banyoles, we can have a rest in front of the quiet water. Then we circle around the lake, and we come back to Girona, through the countryside, on a undulated area.
Option 2: Empordà ride 75 Km (Els Àngels 484m)
The route take bike rides into the Gavarres mountains. Riders climb to 484m visiting the mountain top sanctuary of Als Angels (where Dalí was married) crossing the range down to the town of Bisbal d´ Empordà. The ride returns to Girona by crossing the Gavarres once more this time climbing to 400m over the Santa Pallaia, and returning to the city via the villages of Cassà de la Selva and Quart, made famous by the US postal team, which was based in Girona. The ride is a 60km blast on some of the finest cycling roads in the world containing two climbs as the road winds over the mountains back to the base in Girona.
Option 3: Coastal ride 95 Km (St. Grau 496m)
We start south direction through a flat area, until Llagostera, where we start the uphill until Sant Grau. From there we start one of the most gorgeous descend with an amazing sea view. We reach the coastal road, that runs more than 20 km along the coast above big cliffs. We arrive to Sant Feliu de Guixols where an stop-and-go is vital not miss.
From there we start our return to Girona through the Romanyà pass and back to Girona.
Option 4: Les Guilleries ride 92 Km (Sant Hilari 800m)
This option provides riders with a chance to climb to over 1000m in altitude to the mountain town of Sant Hilari. The climb to the town is approx. 30km and is an excellent training climb with its slack gradients but long distance. Riders then have a thrilling 18km descent to the town of Santa Coloma. This is another famous training ride used by hundreds of local riders. The ride returns to Girona winding through the fantastic countryside of the Gironès area.
