Cycle Tours Catalonia at The Washington Post

On 27 May 2022, Cycle Tours Catalonia appeared in an article in The Washington Post (USA) entitled “Why cyclists are heading to Girona, Spain”. This article was written by the writer Dina Mishev, who passed by our shop last April and where she could enjoy our bicycles to tour the magical places of the province of Girona.

Girona has become one of the most attractive cycling destinations worldwide. Since the late 90s, professional cycling clubs worldwide have established themselves in our lands to carry out their training and preparation for the main competitions of the season: Tour de France, Vuelta a España and Giro de Italia.

From teams like the US Postal with Lance Armstrong or George Hincapié to the current Israel Premier Tech or the BORA team with the winner of the Giro de Italia, Jin Hindley, have been or are users of roads suitable for cycling, thanks to the combination between mountain, flat areas, coast and secondary roads in very good condition and with little traffic. In addition, Girona is a charming little town to visit and enjoy its gastronomy and culture.

After 25 years since the founding of Cycle Tours Catalonia, it was an honor and a great reward for us to be cited in one of the most prestigious newspapers worldwide. This has been possible thanks to all our cyclists from all over the world who have visited us and with whom we have shared our love for this sport.
